Music for Ceremony and Meditation

Ayahuasca is sonic alchemy from Brazilian born artist Poranguí McGrew. Blending field recordings from the Amazon rainforest with native instruments from around the world, the music builds a bridge to the consciousness of the master plant medicine.

Each track can be traveled singularly or woven together to take you on a seamless journey to the deepest parts of your psyche.

Whether you are listening for relaxation, stress relief, meditation, ceremony, or to help with focus while you work on a project, the music is like tropical rain for your ears.

Poranguí is a musician, healer, and creative, residing in the red rocks of Sedona, AZ. Steeped in music and ceremony since birth, Poranguí was raised between the lands and cultures of his native Brazil, Mexico, and the Southwestern United States. Carrying on his lineage, he offers transformation through bodywork and sound designed to awaken and uplift the body, mind, and soul.

"My art is that of holding sacred space. The degree to which I can hold space musically or in silence, on a stage or with a client on the massage table, determines if magic will happen. Whether we are dealing with the space between notes or the space between breaths, the healing power of my work happens when I get out of the way and allow Spirit to move through me."

Ayahuasca

LENGTH: 7:25

Ayahuasca - translation "Vine of the Soul".

An icaro (medicine song) is woven into the fabric of its sound calling the medicine forth to heal, cure & purify the body & soul. It gives thanks to mother Ayahuasca for her beautiful visions painted with the colors of the earth. This song's essence is to capture the ancient wisdom and bridge between the brew & the song - both the physical and sonic medicine ~ a magical intersection where the song & intention become the cure as much as anything one might ingest. Like songs in ceremony this piece is longer dropping the listener into the hypnotic trance of the icaro & chakapa for healing.
