My relationship with Whitney has been the most profound teacher in my life. It’s been the most difficult and most beautiful ceremony I could ever conceive. And it’s still going strong after 8 years! Yes we broke up. We called off our engagement. There was a lot of pain. There was a lot of heartache. But the lessons were generous and bountiful as well. We have learned so much about ourselves, about love, about honesty, and about trusting our adventure together, no matter what happens. From where we stand now I can’t say that we have it all figured out, but I do know this: Trust your partners love, honor your truth, love generously, and receive love graciously.
