SOUTH ORANGE, N. J., July 28 — Kathy Harter, a cute 17‐year‐old blond, turned in the first big upset of the Eastern grass court championships today when she put out Justina Bricka, winner of the Pennsylvania grass court title Sunday.
Kathy was raised by a lovely benevolent family, parents, siblings in Long Beach.
Her brother, Craig Harter had the hardest serve in tennis. Another sister was an instructor at Rice Institute an all scholarship school at the time.
Harters were all overachievers, gracious.
Kathy was just one inch short of Evonne Gulagong, very graceful and smooth. Pretty good for anyone.

Thanks again Aubrey, I always learn so much from your podcasts!
Your mom seems like a really sweet lady, I felt a sense of “being at the parents and having a nice chat with mom in the kitchen” from listening to you two.
